Hi, I’m Valerie Padilla, Founder of Blueboy Coffee

As a Bay Area native, I’ve spent years behind the bar connecting with people over coffee. For me, coffee has always been more than a drink, it’s a conversation, a ritual, a small but powerful way to build community. That belief is what inspired me to start Blueboy Coffee.

I created Blueboy with a simple mission: to bring people together. In a world that often feels fast, disconnected, and overwhelming, I wanted to build a space where people could slow down, feel seen, and find a sense of belonging, while honoring my queerness & heritage. Whether it’s your morning ritual or a midday break, our goal is to make every cup feel like a moment of genuine connection.

At Blueboy, we serve locally roasted coffee, house-made syrups, and drinks crafted with intention—but more than anything, we serve people. Our baristas are here not just to make drinks, but to create a space that feels like home. A mobile “third place” between work and home where community is brewed daily.

I’m proud to be part of a new wave of coffee culture—one rooted in care, creativity, and connection.
